About The Role
As the France Service / Key Account Manager, you will operate from a home office and be responsible for:
- Operating in a 100% Account Management and Aftersales Support role.
- Acting as the primary contact for a small portfolio of high value key account customers (<10).
- Attending customer site meetings, building lasting relationships with Production Managers, Maintenance Manager, Operations Managers, Spare Parts Managers and Procurement.
- Taking part internally in global account discussions with the Global Service Account Management team.
- Ensuring engineers with the correct certifications and competencies are assigned to support the right clients (although day-to-day scheduling is done by the scheduler).
- Ensuring that engineers’ certifications are up to date, minimising the risk and disturbance to customers.
- Addressing any customer concerns and providing solutions to their problems.
- Visiting customers who have shown a decline in annual spending to understand the reasons why and overcome any concerns.
- Negotiating with key customers in relation to aftercare / aftersales services, which can include spare parts, system upgrades, audits and maintenance contracts.
- Working to annual growth objectives.
- Conducting business review meetings with assigned customer base, addressing any open tickets in the system.
- Responding to incoming requests for spare parts quotations from your customer base.
- Utilising the SAP system to provide customers with pricing and stock availability of spare and replacement parts.
About You
You must have 5+ years’ experience working in a customer interaction role such as Technical Sales, Key Account Management, After-sales Support, Product Support or affiliated in the industrial machinery sector.
This could include but limited to, factory automation, materials handling, food / beverage processing or production machinery.
Any experience in a leadership capacity or a desire to progress into leadership within 2-3 years would be a distinct advantage, as would experience working with customers in heavily regulated, high profit industries.
To fit this profile, you will have the ability to retain technical information and possess an advanced level of English and French. Due to the nature of this role, it’s also essential you have strong attention to detail and the personality and communication skills to build lasting relationships with customers.
