About The Role

As an onsite Maintenance Engineer / Service Technician you will work at my client’s facility in Chartres and be responsible for:

  • Operating in an 80% mechanical and 20% electrical role.
  • Working as part of the site engineering team.
  • Reacting to pressing breakdowns and repairs within the plant.
  • Conducting routine service and calibration work, preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, fault finding, problem resolution, and repair.
  • Supporting the Field Service team on other pharmaceutical manufacturing sites within France should your expertise be required (this will be very rare as they have a dedicated field service team).

About You

The successful candidate will possess at least 2+ years of service engineering/technician experience, gained working on complex equipment, which could include but is not limited to, Industrial Automation, Robotics, Scientific Equipment, Food Processing, Logistics Automation, Semiconductor Manufacturing, Metalworking Equipment, Robotic Welding, Robotic Spraying or other high-value complex equipment.

Candidates must speak advanced level English and French and be multiskilled with a mechanical focus.

A degree-level education is beneficial, but not essential, as is past experience working in a cleanroom or sterile environment.

It is, however, essential you have a logical and methodical approach to finding faults and be comfortable working on high-value machinery.

A valid local driving license is essential, as is the right to work in France. My client doesn’t offer sponsorship.
