About The Role

As a Channel Sales Manager / Distribution Sales Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Operating from a home office, with travel within the DACH / Benelux region.
  • Attending industry events, exhibitions and shows.
  • Establishing, managing, supporting and training a distribution/reseller network across your region.
  • Creating and implementing a distribution strategy, structure and hierarchy across the territory.
  • Streamlining the channel partner network.
  • Conducting regular performance reviews of existing distributors / partners providing input and support to their strategy.
  • Attending customer visits alongside the distribution partner to help secure end-user projects.
  • Creating and implementing a clear pricing structure across the distribution network.
  • Identifying, qualifying and appointing new distributors that will add value to my client’s sales strategy.
  • Negotiating distribution agreements and contracts.
  • Extending the distribution footprint into new territories and regions.
  • Developing relationships at Managing Director, Business Owner and Sales Manager level.
  • Prospecting customers that come through the partner network, with any sales being back sold via the distribution channel.

About You

The successful candidate MUST possess 7-10 years of experience managing an international Distribution network within the technical solutions sector.  This could be within areas such as Automation Equipment, Industrial Controls, PLCs, Sensors, Industrial Connectors, or other Mechanical / Electrical equipment and components.

A full driving license is essential. Other key skills include:

  • Fluent German-speaker with a high proficiency in English
  • Strategic thinking
  • Self-motivation
  • Able to operate autonomously
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel
