COMPANY
My client is a market leading supplier to the construction industry and have a fantastic reputation for product expertise and stockholding capability. They have a vast amount of UK branches, each aspiring to uphold the highest standard of customer service and profitability.
POSITION
Duties will include:
- Working within a team of 5 staff.
- Reporting to the Branch Manager.
- Assisting and serving customers on the Trade Counter.
- Order processing.
- Liaising with customers face to face and over the telephone.
- Upselling additional products and services.
- Proactively contacting 10-20 customers per day to assist in increasing branch turnover.
- Spending approximately 1-2 hours per day on the telephone with customers.
- Assisting in other areas when needed, such as the warehouse.
- Updating customer account records on the branch database.
- Building lasting relationships with customers.
- Ensuring high levels of customer service are maintained.
- Ensuring the branch’s appearance is maintained to the highest standard.
- Meeting and exceeding objectives and targets.
PERSON
My client would like to encourage the application of Sales Assistants, Internal Sales and Trade Counter staff from Builders Merchants, Plumbers Merchants, Electrical Wholesalers, Engineering Distributors, Tool/Plant Hire organisations and from retail environments such as Halfords, B&Q, Wickes, Homebase and Screwfix.
The ideal candidate will be based locally to Penzance and have proven experience operating within a branch/store environment.
All candidates must demonstrate a hardworking and driven nature with the ability to interact at all levels.
