About The Role

As a Project Sales Manager / Technical Sales Engineer, you’ll play a key role in the company’s continued expansion across the Netherlands, working closely with an established international team while helping to build long-term market presence and customer relationships.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Completing comprehensive product and technical training, including the opportunity to spend 2–3 weeks at the company’s international headquarters.
  • Operating in a field-based role, combining customer visits with home working and time spent at the local office.
  • Driving growth within the Netherlands power distribution sector by developing relationships with DSO’s, utility providers, and EPC contractors.
  • Taking ownership of a predominantly new business-focused role, introducing the company’s solutions into emerging and untapped areas of the market.
  • Promoting a high-quality portfolio of electrical infrastructure and power distribution technologies, including switchgear, LV/MV transformers, and gas-insulated solutions.
  • Building strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders across Purchasing, Engineering, and Project Management teams.
  • Managing complex sales cycles ranging from 6 months through to multi-year projects.
  • Spending the first 12 months establishing market presence, developing a strong project pipeline, conducting competitor analysis, and gaining a detailed understanding of local procurement and bidding processes.
  • Working towards activity and development-focused KPI’s designed to support long-term commercial growth and success.

About You

To be successful in this role, you must be based in the Netherlands, speak fluent Dutch and English, and have previous experience selling technical products or services into Distribution System Operators (DSO’s) or utility providers.

While an education in Electrical or Electronic Engineering would be advantageous, the business is ultimately looking for a commercially strong individual with the credibility, confidence, and network to open doors and develop relationships at senior level. Full technical support and product expertise will be available internally.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • A driven and self-motivated sales professional with a proactive approach to business development.
  • Comfortable operating autonomously in a new market development role.
  • A confident relationship builder with the ability to quickly establish trust and rapport with new customers.
  • Commercially aware, resilient, and motivated by long-term project-based sales environments.
  • Experienced in managing stakeholder relationships across purchasing, engineering, and project teams.

Previous experience selling switchgear, electrical transformers, or wider power distribution technologies would be highly advantageous, although candidates with relevant technical sales experience from aligned sectors are also encouraged to apply.
