About The Role

A newly created position, as the National Sales Manager, you will take on responsibility for all commercial matters including the financial management of sales and marketing projects.

Reporting directly to the MD, your time will be split between working from home, attending customer consultations in the field and attending ad-hoc meetings at the office. You will be responsible for:

  • Developing a business strategy to maintain and increase current company turnover and profits.
  • Generating an annual input budget for both Sales and Marketing.
  • Reviewing and improving current company processes, principles, and policies.
  • Managing the Sales, Estimating and Marketing teams.
  • Supporting the external sales team by attending customer meetings and improving the company profile and market share.
  • Contributing to NB opportunities via successful tenders, securing new contracts and identifying business opportunities.
  • Aiding in NPD and Services.

About You

It is essential that you have Sales experience in the Lift/Elevator sector, whilst you will also require a minimum of 2-3 years managing a sales team. Experience managing Marketing and Estimating teams would also be advantageous but not essential.

Technical and related qualifications would be valuable but again not essential. More importantly, you will with a technical understanding of how lifts operate, alongside the necessary rules and regulations.

You will need to be able to read lift specifications and be able to specify the best solutions.

To fit the right profile, you will be a professional and organised individual, with an outgoing personality that befits a customer-facing and management position. We are looking for a natural leader and team player who can oversee and coordinate a commercial team.

To be ideally located, you will live in and around London and the Home Counties, however, if you are willing to travel to this area for ad-hoc meetings, my client is more than willing to consider your application if you live further afield.

You will also need a Full Driving License.

  • Articulate communicator and influencer.
  • Comfortable liaising with professionals from shopfloor to Engineers and Managing Directors.
  • A passion for working in a consultative sales environment.
  • Highly motivated.
  • Ability to adapt and learn.
