About The Role
Following in-depth training of my client’s product range and services, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing relations with major universities/research organisations in the North London region.
You will initially be introduced to key customers/accounts in the region to help further develop your understanding of the industry.
Other responsibilities will include;
- Developing existing Key Accounts in the North London region
- Developing relationships and generating sales of my client’s range of benchtop lab equipment and consumables (reagents, protein production, cell culture media)
- 3-4 days per week – on the road meeting with clients (typically using Train / Tube)
- 1-2 days per week – working remotely, dealing with admin, planning, conducting teams meetings, booking appointments etc.
- Following up on site visits with relevant calls and emails
- Developing and implementing strategic business plans to manage and develop the key accounts effectively
- Promoting products at conferences, seminars and workshops
- Achieving sales objectives
- Handling customer enquiries
- Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date CRM
About You
You will be based in the London / Greater London area and possess a Master’s or PhD in Biology, Microbiology, Bioscience, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or affiliated.
Technical Sales experience within the Life Sciences industry would be highly beneficial; however, it is not essential. What is essential is having the right attitude/characteristics (ambitious, personable, intelligent, clear communicator, flair for building lasting relationships).
Should you not possess existing technical sales experience, it is essential you have lab experience working with proteins, cells, DNA, RNA etc.

- Great problem-solving skills
- Competent use of Microsoft Office, Outlook & CRM
- Experienced working as part of a team & on own initiative
- The ability to build & maintain trusting relationships
