Location: Home Based – must live in Southern Germany (Stuttgart, Munich or surrounding) and be willing to travel within Europe
COMPANY
My client is a rapidly growing, leading manufacturer of materials testing equipment and are recognised globally for their quality and expertise. Their variety of equipment, reliability in the market and highly skilled team members have contributed significantly to their continued success within the sector.
Their systems are multifaceted and incorporate electrical, software, hydraulics, pneumatics and high precision servo controls.
POSITION
This position will require the successful candidate to provide excellent customer service to a European customer base of Universities and Research facilities.
Working as part of a team of 2 engineers, alongside the back office support team, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting on 2-3 new installations per annum.
- Conducting user training either on site or at my clients training centre.
- Providing system fault finding and repair on around 100 systems across Europe.(Germany, France, Italy, Poland etc.)
- Remote support.
- Supporting across both hardware and software.
- Calibrating, servicing, and maintaining a range of high value complex equipment.
- Developing a high level of technical expertise on my client’s range of equipment.
- Submitting accurate and timely service reports.
PERSON
The successful candidate must have a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a Service Engineering role working on machinery/equipment and be comfortable understanding wiring diagrams.
Candidates with a strong electrical and control system background that excel in troubleshooting would do well within this post.
Candidates must have an excellent work ethic and be willing to travel across the assigned territory. (50% travel required)
A technical education within Electrical, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Materials Science or a related discipline would be highly beneficial.
My client is also willing to recruit a recent graduate who has used Materials Testing equipment as part of their education.
