About The Role
As a Refrigeration Service Engineer / Service Technician you will work in a travelling role and be responsible for:
- Completing an onboarding process which consists of 4 weeks workshop training and the shadowing of experienced engineers on customer site.
- Working within a service engineering team supporting highly controlled pharmaceutical manufacturing sites across Switzerland (30-40%) and Europe.
- Attending a low number of customer calls as each case can be extremely complicated and time consuming.
- Troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing advanced freeze dryers with a value of €1m to €20m and capable of producing temperatures from -85 to +60 degrees.
- Diagnosing and servicing systems which contain components such as compressors, liquid nitrogen and vacuum pumps.
- Conducting machine maintenance which can involve replacing membranes and gaskets in the piping system, vacuum pump oil and completing yearly cooling cycle and refrigeration checks. System servicing typically takes 1-2 weeks dependent on machine type.
- Operating in a diverse role with 10% electrical, 45% refrigeration and 45% mechanical work.
About You
The successful candidate will possess at least 2+ years of refrigeration engineering experience coupled with relevant training and qualifications within the area of refrigeration.
Any experience working on larger systems with over 12kg of refrigeration gas would be highly beneficial, however my client is open to considering candidates who have worked on smaller systems if they have the qualifications needed to work on larger systems.
Candidates must speak advance level English and be comfortable with travel and nights away from home.
It is essential you have a logical and methodical approach to finding faults, are presently based in Switzerland (cross border workers not considered), hold a valid driving license and are an EU citizen with the rights to work in Switzerland.
