12 Month Fixed Term Contract (potential to go permanent)

POSITION
As a Technical Assistant you will work within a busy manufacturing environment and be responsible for:
- Handling technical product enquiries from customers and the sales team which may include questions regarding nutrition, ingredients and raw material traceability.
- Investigating customer complaints including reviewing mixing sheets, retained samples and production records.
- Completing lab submission paperwork and sending samples to the lab.
- Reviewing lab results against internal and legal limits and organising corrective action if required.
- Raising quality issues and complaints at daily operations meetings.
- Creating and updating product labelling.
- Utilising Excel to enter technical data and calculate averages.
- Coordinating quality meetings, discussing product and process improvements, complaints and audit preparation.
- Conducting internal site audits liaising with the Site Manager to rectify any issues.
- Conducting product traceability exercises including internal batch tracking.
- Being the point of contact for all regulatory bodies.
PERSON
To be considered for this fantastic opportunity, you MUST have proven experience as a Technical Assistant / Quality Controller within the food, beverage, dairy or an affiliated industry.
All applicants must have a high work rate and relish the challenge of working within a dynamic and rapidly evolving business.
A degree or HND within a related discipline would be advantageous, but not essential.
