About The Role
As an Inside Sales Engineer / Internal Applications Engineer / Technical Account Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Operating from my client’s facility.
- Handling incoming inquiries relating to test instrumentation (60-70%) and laser/photonics based technology (30-40%).
- Developing relationships with clients in Academia (50%) and industry (50%).
- Building lasting relationships with Professors, Researchers, Laboratory Technician, Project Engineers, Project Leaders and Directors.
- Pre/post-sales and applications support.
- Understanding clients’ application challenges and providing solutions that are fit for purpose.
- Preparing and submitting customer quotations.
- Supporting the marketing team to provide targeted campaigns by identifying specific companies who could utilise my clients technology.
- Attending industry exhibitions and events to build market knowledge and gain competitor analysis.
- Handling both technical and commercial inquiries from new and existing UK customers.
About You
The successful candidate MUST possess experience within a customer interaction role, this could be within an Applications Engineer, Presales, Technical Sales, Internal Sales, Product Specialist, Account Manager, Sales Manager or Sales Engineer role.
This should be within a technical discipline, ideally within areas such as electronic, electrical or physics-based technology. Any experience and knowledge of Test & Measurement Instrumentation, Optoelectronics, Electro-Optic Amplifiers, Lasers, Photonics, Microwave Frequency Analyzer, RF Microwave Material Measurement Instruments, Power Sensors, Signal Transmission or affiliated would be highly advantageous.
Other key requirements include:
- Excellent communication skills.
- The ability to build trusting relationships with clients.
- Willingness to learn and develop.
