The Brief

We partnered with a leading building materials manufacturer that was facing an urgent hiring challenge to secure a site technician. The assignment came with a strict seven-day window for CV submissions and a firm deadline for the entire recruitment process to be completed ahead of the Christmas break. Given the short lead time, they not only needed a recruitment partner who was able to mobilise quickly but also effectively.

The Process

Recognising the urgency, we immediately dedicated a specialised resource team to manage the assignment. Our approach was twofold: leveraging our existing network of industry professionals while also conducting a focused headhunting campaign to reach a wider pool of highly qualified candidates.

Although we had a deadline fast approaching, we also wanted to maximise our candidate pool. We initiated an intensive search process, making numerous calls, and messaging to engage with potential candidates as quickly as possible. This comprehensive effort enabled us to create a strong shortlist within the client’s tight timeframe, ensuring the best candidates were positioned for consideration.

The Result

Our focused and efficient recruitment strategy delivered a successful outcome within an exceptionally short timeframe. Across 7 days, we submitted a carefully selected shortlist of four candidates, three of whom progressed to first-stage interviews. One candidate advanced to the final stage and was ultimately offered the role.

Despite the challenging timeline, our proactive approach ensured the entire recruitment process — from initial job order to offer acceptance — was completed in just under 4 weeks. This result highlighted our ability to deliver industry-leading talent under intense time pressure, providing the client with a seamless recruitment experience, and a new team member who will be ready to make a positive impact on the business in the new year.
