Service Engineer | Case Study

The Brief

We were contacted by a chemical equipment supplier to help recruit a Service Engineer covering the Benelux region. Their previous attempts to hire had produced candidates without the hands-on experience required for maintaining dosing, blending, and filtration systems used across chemical manufacturing sites. With customer response times slipping, they turned to us for help.

The Process

We met with the Operations Manager to understand the technical requirements of the role, including pump maintenance, chemical dosing system calibration, and fault-finding across PLC-controlled process equipment.

Our headhunt focused on engineers from chemical plants, third-party maintenance providers, and OEMs. We prioritised candidates with strong mechanical and electrical skills, HSE awareness, and a willingness to travel across high-compliance industrial sites.

We carried out detailed pre-screening and submitted a shortlist of three qualified engineers within the agreed timeframe.

The Result

The client appointed a Service Engineer with experience across chemical processing plants, including hands-on work with dosing and filtration systems. The full process was completed in two weeks.

What the Client had to Say

“We needed someone who could get stuck in straight away. Mase delivered an engineer who ticked every box — technically capable, safety-focused, and responsive on-site.”
