The Brief
We were approached by a sensor manufacturer to act as a retained recruitment partner for its OEM Sales Manager opening based in France. The client had been unimpressed with two French recruitment businesses who for three months had been unable to deliver the assignment due to the niche skills and market expertise required. We’d already worked with the client for a number of years supporting the UK operation on a contingency basis, so they gave us the opportunity to do better.
The Process
We started by conducting a detailed meeting with the hiring manager to understand more about the profile they required and candidates they had already met. We then agreed a detailed hiring strategy including an advertising campaign and headhunting service. We researched the French market to identify an extensive target list of manufacturers and distributors operating within the client’s sector who we proactively approached. Having conducted thorough assessments and interviews with several potential candidates, we realised that the majority of candidates were not actively “on the market.” As such, we spent a large amount of time upselling the client and opportunity. Once completed, we submitted a shortlist of three talented individuals from within the direct market, organised for all three to meet with the client, managed the interview process and assisted with the final selection.
The Result
Our team worked hard on the project, but the results spoke for themselves. Not only were we able to deliver the shortlist within 7 working days, the successful candidate completed the interview process and was offered the position within 18 working days of the client initiating our services.
What the Client had to Say
“Mase is focused on what we require, ensuring the candidates they put forward for selection are an excellent fit both technically and culturally. I’ve found the team to be very dedicated and engaged in the various recruitment drives we’ve worked on and I have no hesitation in recommending them to others who need results.”
