The Brief
We were contacted by a global RF component manufacturer looking to recruit a Key Account Manager in France to support customers in the aerospace and defence sectors. The business had previously used two different recruiters but received only generalist electronics profiles that lacked experience with high-frequency systems. With critical accounts needing support, they turned to us.
The Process
We arranged a detailed call with the Sales Director to understand the specific products involved — including filters, waveguides, and amplifiers — and the type of account complexity the candidate would need to manage.
Our search focused on professionals with strong RF and microwave knowledge, ideally with an engineering background and experience managing OEM and Tier 1 accounts. We directly approached candidates from niche RF manufacturers and component distributors across France and neighbouring regions.
After thoroughly interviewing the candidates, we submitted a shortlist of four qualified professionals, each with the technical grounding and commercial awareness needed. For those progressing to the final stage, we conducted behavioural assessments to evaluate cultural alignment and ensure they would thrive in the client’s environment. In parallel, we carried out salary benchmarking for the role, enabling the client to present a competitive offer with a well-balanced compensation and benefits package.
The Result
The client successfully hired an RF specialist with strong defence sector contacts and proven experience supporting high-value accounts. Backed by our behavioural assessments and salary benchmarking insights, the candidate was both a strong cultural fit and secured with a competitive, well-structured offer. The entire process, from initial briefing to signed acceptance, was completed in just three weeks.
What the Client had to Say
“The difference was immediate. Mase brought in candidates who actually understood our business and products, not just in theory, but in real technical terms. We wouldn’t hesitate to work with them again.”
