The Brief: 

We first encountered the client at a trade exhibition, where their innovative vision inspection technology really caught our attention. During a conversation, it was evident the business had industry-leading technology and ambitious growth plans but lacked the UK sales team to make that vision a reality.

With them already working with another recruitment agency for four months and being presented with CVs who were not meeting their expectations. We recognised the challenges and explored their vision for the UK market, the specific qualities they sought in candidates, and their broader business objectives.

The Process:

With a clear understanding of the company’s history, future plans and goals, we developed a tailored retingency recruitment strategy. 

In addition to proactively sourcing candidates, we drew on our extensive network within the metrology and vision inspection sector. This approach allowed us to identify additional candidates who not only possessed the required technical/commercial expertise but also resonated with the company’s growth ambitions—one of whom we had known for over six years.

The recruitment process got underway, and within two weeks, we had shortlisted five highly qualified candidates. Four of these candidates were invited to the first round of interviews, with three progressing to the second and final round. The complete process was concluded within seven weeks of taking the client brief.

In addition to sourcing high-calibre candidates, we provided valuable insights into the UK job market, particularly regarding compensation packages.  With extensive experience within the market we were able to provide guidance around commission structures, incentive plans and pension contributions allowing the business to really appeal to high-performers that could help realise their UK growth plans. This played a vital part in securing key individuals from the market.

The Result:

Due to the high calibre of professionals we presented and our insights into building a competitive salary and compensation package, the company decided to bring forward their growth plans and extend offers to two of the three finalists, as opposed to just one as initially intended. 

This decision reflected their confidence in the candidates and the value they could bring to the team. With the improved compensation package, both offers were promptly accepted, laying the foundation for a strong and mutually beneficial relationship between the candidates and the company.
