The Brief

Mase Consulting was recommended to a global scientific instrument manufacturer having successfully fulfilled key assignments for their European distribution partner. With the manufacturer expanding their own team in Europe, we were well-positioned to support their growth plans. The Global VP Sales & Marketing based in the USA contacted our business to discuss their urgent requirement. Having spent over 6 months working with specialist recruiters, the client had become frustrated with the lack of quality candidates that were being presented to the business.

The Process

We spent time with the client to fully understand their requirements in detail, as well as discussing past recruitment issues. Although we are very active within the scientific market, our consultants researched the client’s exact field and mapped out all competitor companies. We then made use of our extensive network of contacts and worked in collaboration with the client to identify key individuals within the sector.

We provided a candidate head-hunting service and, due to our client’s location, conducted all initial interviews. This resulted in us shortlisting four high-calibre individuals who met the client’s brief. We then organised for the hiring manager to travel to the UK and meet with all four candidates’, as well as managing the interview process and assisting secure the preferred candidate.

The Result

We ensured clear communication with all parties throughout the process, which resulted in an efficient and effective delivery. The client was thoroughly impressed with how we handled the assignment and felt that all four candidates had the potential to add real value to their business. We have since gone on to work with many other global leaders within this high technology sector, demonstrating our capabilities within high-level search and selection.
