About The Role
Supporting the HR Manager, you will personally operate as a HR Generalist within a non-unionised environment, providing day-to-day frontline HR support to around 60 employees in Germany, with future potential to support HR activities in other European locations.
Duties will include:
- Recruitment (35%), HR Operations (45%) and supporting on regional HR Projects (20%).
- Assisting managers with the recruitment process from advertising roles, sourcing and interviewing candidates, to issuing contract paperwork and onboarding new starters. This element of the role will also cover positions based in the UK, Sweden and France.
- Supporting with planned HR Projects such as Employer Branding, Process Improvements, Succession Planning etc.
- Planning and delivering new starter inductions and onboarding as necessary.
- Managing employee records and systems.
- Absence management including monitoring sickness and conducting return to work meetings.
- Maintaining new starters, leavers, salary and ad-hoc changes on the HR database and other business systems (SAP).
- Conducting exit interviews and ensuring that all leaver paperwork is completed and company property returned.
- Completing any necessary HR administration and reporting for the senior management team.
- Handling HR questions from employees and the management team relating to parental leave, sickness, payroll etc. and working with other internal departments to gain the necessary information.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally possess 2-3 years of HR experience in Germany working within a busy HR function and have a knowledge of German regulations.
You must be eager to learn and take on new tasks with the support of the HR Manager and possess a good mix of HR Admin, HR Operational Support and HR Project experience.
- Fluency in English with a minimum of intermediate level German.
- HR experience within an international or midsized organisation.
- Exposure to the full HR cycle from hire to retire.
- An enthusiastic and professional communicator.
- Agile, well-structured but also somebody who is equally comfortable in more chaotic environments. (Project implementations etc).
- Self-motivated and approachable personality and an appetite to learn.
- Experience with MS Office packages including Excel and PowerPoint.
